During my long-dreamed road trip across Tibet in 2012, severe altitude sickness struck me. As friends rushed me toward medical help, we encountered circling pilgrims—among them, a Nyingma tertön (treasure revealer) with four decades of spiritual practice. Through his ancient healing methods, I gradually recovered. This sacred encounter revealed Tibet's true essence: beyond breathtaking landscapes, this mystical land cradles millennia of wisdom and faith. It became my spiritual awakening.
Over the following years, I journeyed back to Tibet repeatedly. Amidst humble nomads, chanting monks, and incense-wreathed monasteries, I discovered something profound: my authentic self. The tertön gifted me a sacred Tibetan name—Thinley (གཏིང་ཡེ་།), meaning "Eternal Lamp of Auspicious Wisdom."
This devotion ignited a purpose: creating an online sanctuary empowering Tibetan artisans and marginalized communities. Here, ancient craftsmanship meets modern compassion:
· Every thangka brushstroke preserves vanishing wisdom
· Each silver amulet funds a child's education
· All purchases sustain Himalayan heritage
"When you wear a Satori Totem-crafted pendant,
You carry the tertön's blessings,
The nomad's resilience,
And the snow mountains' eternal grace."
With gratitude for walking this path of auspicious karma.
